<p>Hello! My name is Megan, Intern with Thee Wedding Warehouse, and I just want to say how helpful it is to have babysitters at weddings. Party Sitters is the best way to go! They have been in business since 2005 which provides childcare to any kind of event, especially weddings. It is super awesome that children are there to celebrate the special day of the bride and groom, but at the end of the ceremony when cocktail hour hits and the reception starts with dancing the night away, it can be a little tough to make sure the young ones are being watched and taken care of at ALL times. Party sitters are here to save the day! They are trained to watch children of all ages and are CPR and First Aid Certified, and can also bring activities to get so that the kids can have their own party going on as well! I strongly suggest Party Sitters for everyone!</p>

<p>Recently, the big rage is buying deals off of Groupon. Even for weddings, they have special sections for brides to purchase limos, decorations, photo booths and much more. But beware……. They seem like really good deals, but these vendors may not be the best choices. We have experienced a couple weddings recently where brides have purchased these “Great deals” and the end result is “you get what you pay for.” At one wedding they had a photo booth from a “Great deal “and many things went wrong. The booth kept falling apart, one side with the camera didn’t even work, and the vendor running it was always on his phone and not even helping the guests. I won’t even mention the Duct tape holding the curtains on!</p>

<p>Last weekend the photo booth was over an hour late.   I could tell story after story about the limo not showing up.</p>
<p>This is why we strongly recommend using Vendors whom we trust. We have used them in the past and we KNOW what to expect and how they work! We don’t ever have to worry our that our bride will be disappointed in the end.</p>
<p>So even though it seems like a great deal, it may not be! Always check their previous work, ask for references and trust your planner!  Groupon is awesome however maybe not a great gamble for your wedding day.</p>

<p>Early this spring we planned a wedding of  a different style! It was held at a new venue we discovered right in downtown phoenix called “The Jewish Heritage Center.” This Venue is non-denominational and can be rented for any type of party so don’t let the name fool you. They have that “Old feel” inside the chapel with wood floors and beautiful windows. Outside is just as great of an area with green grass and gorgeous patios for cocktail hour and staircases to dramatically ascend from.</p>
<p>This wedding in February was on a Sunday so it was a challenge to create the “Party”. Oh Boy did we… It was so fun to be a part of because of all the different elements they used for their special day. They wanted it to be different and different it was. They started off with cocktail hour with the D.J, Curtis Whipple, playing music for all the guests to get the mood going. The bride had a table set up for each guest to decorate a wine glass and a charm for them to personalize “Their” glass and then it was a favor to take home. After Cocktail’s ,Night Groove Band started playing and singing! It was so great to see everyone get up and dance! While  all of this was going on, there was a photo booth for the guests to take silly pictures and leave as a treat for the bride and groom. After finger foods, soups, specialty breads and munchies galore, they had all the guests go back inside for Karaoke! Yes, karaoke at a wedding, it was so fun to see everyone unwind, even the bride got out there and sang her heart out to her new Husband!. For a Sunday afternoon wedding, the guests partied all night long, it was one of those nights that nobody wanted to end. This wedding was so fun and exciting to help set up and it had so many moments and extra touches that I will refer other brides to think about using on their big day. I truly enjoyed sharing this day with my clients and the Dream team we built.</p>

You know what everyone will be wearing. You have chosen every linen, knife, fork, spoon, candle, chair, etc.  You know the venue, captains and coordinators.</p>
<p>However, with Jacque Dearing as your florist, YOU DON’T KNOW what your florals will look like. It’s the one thing you don’t get to see until the moment you walk into that room or until I place that bouquet in your lovely hands.</p>
<p>I don’t do mock ups and here’s why.</p>
<p>During our design consultations we will discuss every flower, color, texture, piece of glass and ribbon that will be used to enhance and complement the biggest day of your life.  You will see pictures and sketches plus so much more that will make you feel safe, secure and confident in your decision to book us as your designer.  If you doubt, ask to see the multitude of Thank You cards and letters of references to convince you to place your confidence in us as your trusted consultants / designers.</p>
<p>I ask brides not to book with us unless they are one hundred percent confident in us as Designers/planners. We need you to know that you are getting exactly what will make you not just happy but ecstatic. This being said, I believe that making a sample takes away the WOW moment for both of us!</p>
<p>After seeing a Mock up in the show room, instead of walking into your reception and having your breath taken away by something you could never have imagined; you will walk in and say &#8220;yup, that’s what I ordered.” That’s not good enough. To the floral designer this is the injustice! Thee wonderful moment becomes just ho hum. We need you to have the Jaw dropping- wide eyed- OMG-look at this place, excitement that comes from seeing your ideas in real life for the first time!</p>
<p>So when you ask me to do sample bouquets and arrangements I will politely answer…”No”.</p>

<p>Terri’s travel career began 28 years ago after she won a cruise from a radio station promotion. The travel agency that ran the trip saw that she had not only a passion for travel, but a knack for detail.  With no travel experience at all, they hired her as an office administrator and she quickly started handling their group and incentive travel. Soon after, Terri was selling individual travel packages.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>In 1990 over lunch and on a paper napkin she and a friend wrote a business plan and Escapes Unlimited, Inc. was launched.  Terri’s first visit to a Sandals Resort was in 1992, when she went on a FAM trip to Sandals Dunn’s River and Sandals Royal Caribbean.  She fell in love with the Resorts and came back from that trip with a new found energy wanting to learn everything that she could about the Sandals product.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Escapes Unlimited, Inc. was originally opened as a store front agency in Atlanta, but after 20 years in business, Terri’s husband was transferred to Phoenix, Arizona. Terry said that the move left her feeling lost in a new city. She couldn’t imagine starting all over again and didn’t want to open another store front agency. She quickly realized that there was a market there for her selling travel and working from home.  With her vast knowledge of Sandals and Beaches Resorts she started working the Bridal shows, offering a personalized Concierge service where she would meet each and every client personally and help them plan a Honeymoon or Destination Wedding.   She quickly became the Sandals Honeymoon and Destination wedding specialist in the area, and is currently an exclusive travel agent to many wedding planners throughout the valley.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Terri is very active in the Sandals Foundation, and is one of the original travel agents to Launch TAG (Travel Agents Giveback) a division of the Sandals Foundation that works with other travel agents to donate a portion of their commission to this worth cause.  Terri feels that being a part of the Sandals Foundation is very rewarding.  She went to her first event hoping to give some of her time to children in need.  What she didn&#8217;t expect is that she was the one who received the gift; the unconditional love that these children gave her would never be forgotten.  Terri believes that the children truly touched her heart and have gave her a new prospective on what the Foundation provides.  She vows to continue her partnership with the foundation and help build a better tomorrow for these children.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>23 years ago, Terri had the vision to open an agency that offered excellent service to it’s clients at a great rate.  She has always said, “We wanted to treat each and every client like it was their first trip ever”.  Terri has definitely suceeded in that mantra, and still today have some of those clients from 23 years ago!  Terri achieved CSS platinum status back in 1996, which was the first year that the program was established.  Today, she is a member of the very elite Chairman’s Royal Club.</p>
